" Expressing its continuing concern with the grave
situation in
the Middle East,
Emphasizing the inadmissibility of the acquisistion of
territory
by war and the need to work for a just and lasting peace in which every State
in the area can live in security,
Emphasizing further that all member states in their
acceptance
of the Charter of the United Nations have undertaken a commitment to act in
accordance with Article 2 of the Charter,
1. Affirms that the fulfilments of the Charter
principles
requires the establishment of a just and lasting peace in the Middle East
which
should include the application of both the following principles:
i) Withdrawal of Israel armed forces form territories[*] occupied in the
recent
conflict;
ii) Termination of all claims or states of belligerency and respect for and
acknowledgement of the sovereignty, territorial integrity and political
independence of every State in the area and their right to live in peace
within secure and recognized boundaries free from threats or acts of
force;
2. Affirms further the necessity
a) for guaranteeing freedom of navigation through international
waterways
in the area;
b) For achieving a just settlement of the refugee problem;
c) For guaranteeing the territorial inviolability and political independence
of every State in the area, through measures including the establishment of
demilitarized zones;
3. Requests the Secretary-General to designate a
special
representative t proceed to the Middle East to establish and maintain
contacts
with the States concerned in order to promote agreement and assist
efforts to
achieve a peaceful and accepted settlement in accordance with the provisions
and principles of this resolution;
4. Requests the Secretary-General to report to
the Secuurity
Council on the progress of the efforts of the Special Representative as
soon
as possible."

The Security Council
1. Calls upon all parties to the present fighting to
cease all firing and terminate all military activity immediately, no
later
than 12 hours after the adoption of this decision, in the positions they
now occupy;
2. Calls upon the parties concerned to start
immediately
after the cease-fire the implimentation of Security Council resolution
242 (
1967) in all of its parts;
3. Decides that, immediately and concurrently
with the
cease-fire, negotiations shall start between the parties concerned under
appropriate auspices aimed at establishing a just and durable peace in
the
Middle East.

Al menos 210 personas murieron y más de 700 heridos en un bombardeo que efectuó este sábado el Ejército Israelí en la Franja de Gaza, lugar en el que ya se encuentran funcionarios de socorro que trabajan para rescatar a la cantidad de personas que aun yacen debajo de escombros.
Fuentes de Hamás informaron la cifra de fallecidos, mientras que el número de personas heridas aún es indeterminado. El ataque israelí causó también 23 muertos en las cercanas regiones de Jan Junis y Rafah, de acuerdo a datos suministrados por el encargado para América Latina de Al Fatah, Mohamed Odeh, quien aseguró que entre los fallecidos figura el responsable de la Policía de Hamás en Gaza, Taufiq Jaber.
Israel y Palestina mantuvieron casi cuatro meses y medio de inusual calma luego de una mediación egipcia. No obstante, el pasado 4 de noviembre una incursión israelí, para destruir un supuesto túnel subterráneo, acabó con la vida de seis palestinos de Hamás y desató un nuevo ciclo de violencia, en la que los grupos se acusan entre sí de agresiones.
Medios audiovisuales locales muestran las imágenes de la destrucción de varios edificios, además reflejan la ira de la población, frente a descenas de cadáveres con el uniforme negro de Hamás entre los escombros.
Fuentes de Hamás, confirmaron que el bombardeo "masivo", efectuado con cazabombarderos y helicópteros israelíes, ha dañado decenas de edificios de su propiedad en la ciudad, muchos de ellos situados en zonas residenciales.
El movimiento israelí anunció que resistirá "hasta la ultima gota de sangre", según su portavoz, Fawzi Barhoum, cuya advertencia coincidió con la primera información del Ejercito israelí sobre el ataque.
"Continuaremos y ampliaremos la operación si fuera necesario", aseguraron fuentes militares israelíes.
El Ministerio palestino de Sanidad, en Cisjordania, ha lanzado un llamamiento para que la población done sangre que será trasladada, junto a medicamentos y ambulancias a las zonas afectadas.
Después del bombardeo, el gobierno de El Cairo, Egipto, abrió el paso fronterizo de Rafah para permitir la entrada de ayuda humanitaria y la evacuación de enfermos y heridos, según informaron a la agencia de noticias Efe fuentes de seguridad egipcias.
Según la prensa israelí, la ejecución de esa intervención militar se llevaría a cabo a partir del domingo para dar tiempo a que las autoridades egipcias realizaran un ultimo intento de mediación entre Israel y Hamás.
Israel estableció un bloqueo económico contra el pueblo palestino, que mantiene cerrados los pasos fronterizos necesarios para recibir la ayuda humanitaria, incluyendo alimentos y combustible para la única planta de electricidad de Gaza.
Reacciones luego del ataque
La Liga Árabe condenó este sábado el bombardeo israelí sobre la franja de Gaza y convocó a una reunión de urgencia de sus ministros de Exteriores para el próximo lunes para tratar el ataque.
Esta organización solicitó al Consejo de Seguridad de la Organización de Naciones Unidas (ONU) que adopten medidas para detener los ataques israelíes sobre la franja y proteger a los palestinos, según la agencia de noticias gubernamental egipcia MENA.
Por su parte, los Gobiernos de Jordania y de los Emiratos Árabes Unidos (EAU) ya también rechazaron de manera categórica el ataque.
También cientos de sindicalistas jordanos han salido a las calles para protestar en contra del bombardeo.

Israele ha scelto il momento opportuno per bombardare: l'ora di uscita dei bambini dalle scuole
Gaza - Infopal. Circa 200 morti e 300 feriti: questo è il bilancio attuale (ore 14, ora locale) degli attacchi aerei israeliani in corso contro la Striscia di Gaza.
L'aviazione da guerra israeliana sta bombardando diverse sedi delle forze di sicurezza palestinesi a Gaza. E' un vero massacro! Sul terreno ci sono già 200 morti e centinaia di feriti, ma il bilancio è destinato a salire tragicamente.
Le ambulanze stanno accorrendo sul luoghi dei bombardamenti per soccorrere i feriti e portare via i cadaveri.
Ci sono decine di cadaveri di membri della polizia sparsi per terra, a seguito del bombardamento delle postazioni 17, Tawam, la sede delle forze preventive, Ansar, la direzione civile, al-Safina, la sede dei passaporti. Sono state bombardate tutte le sedi amministrative e politiche della Striscia di Gaza. Ucciso anche il capo generale della polizia di Gaza il colonello Tawfiq Jaber.
